NE North Dakota | We have a FLD 120 Cummins N14. The issue I have in the winter is with the air lines freezing. The intake for the air compressor comes from the air intake on the motor after the after-cooler. This would be somewhat warm air I believe. Wouldn't this create more condensation? Should I reroute this to just after the air cleaner? Any suggestions?
It will freeze up the air fill line between compressor and tanks and it will freeze up the lines going to the governor from time to time.
I have blown out all the lines free of moisture now and I have put on a new air dryer every 6 months and every winter still have issues.
A heated shop is not an option and I believe is a temporary fix anyway.
