Southwest Missouri | I hauled a combine this past weekend. It was supposed to be a little north of KC, but seemed a lot closer to St Joe. I had to stay off the interstate so took roads I usually do not drive. I went East of Nevada on 54 then north on 13.
I saw a lot of stockpiled fescue. There were many pastures with grass almost a foot tall. I have not seen that around here in SW Mo. I can usually wait until New Years before I have to put out hay. This year, it was Thanksgiving. It was nice to see pastures in good shape. The cattle were looking good. They must have had more rain.
It is interesting to see different parts of of the state. It is interesting to see on Stock Talk how things are done differently hundreds of miles from my little corner of the world. Thanks to all the posters.
