Blue Grass (Eastern IA) | Looking to upgrade from a NH1495 that I have run for 25 yrs. to a discbine. I need a self propelled because I cut a lot of waterways that a pull type just won’t work in. Only cut about 500 ac. total / yr so don’t need anything very new. About 1/2 alfalfa and 1/2 grass, all baled as dry hay. I do my own repairs and can handle most anything. What models were available with 13 ft heads? Most I see are 15 but that’s to wide for my waterways and carted rake. Open to any brand that does a good job of crimping and can lay out a wide windrow. Could spend up to $35K but would like to stay in the 20s.
