Ne Nebraska | We keep hearing how much heavier year over year carcass weight are lately. Is this caused by the First Cfap Program, where they paid better for fats over 1400 lbs? Is everyone trying to hit that weight to market them now, just in case that happens again? Or is it still a backlog of cattle from the plant shutdowns this spring? Just something I’ve wondered about lately. I know I’m trying to push them over 1400 for that reason now.
