Subject: Help with JD 8400

NE Iowa
My 8400 will go to neutral off and on will in the field. The rougher the terrain the worse it is and it happens most often when my wife or daughter is running it.

I have checked the armrest electrical connection and it seems tight and is clean as I cleaned it with contact cleaner and out it together with some dielectric grease.

Has anyone had the seat switch actually go bad and intermittently cause the tractor to hesitate.

I really would appreciate any and all advice as My girls are not too keen on chisel plowing this fall. When a tillage attachment is in the ground the tractor obviously will stop an a dime when this happens smashing them against the steering wheel and taking off again rather quickly.

Thanks!
