nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek.. | Am I the only one who watches Larry's Country Diner??? It is a great country music show on RFD Tv on Thursday evening. Very informal get together in a diner setting with Country music stars and writer's. I especially enjoy about the writers who could set down with you at your coffee stop and fit right in. There are some good stories about big country hits that just sat for years until the right performer was picked to sing it.
This week they honored the "Sherrif", Jimmy Tapps, who is was a guitar player in many recording sessions with the really BIG named stars, 18 or so musicians think they were called the Wrecking Crew?????. Very humble decent man that we have watched for years, slowly reading his very simple honest book. Country Family Reunion with Bill Anderson also did an hour long special about Jimmy Tapps. In the book Jimmy talked about his humble beginning, playing with some big names and just how little he made and the terrible life lived on the road.
