Subject: Winter Wheat Grazing Question

Hey Guys,

I live in Northwest Oklahoma where our biggest crop is Hard Red Winter Wheat. I have 160 acres that is terribly infested with Feral Rye, Joint Grass and Cheat. I was thinking about letting it lay out for the winter and planting Sesame Next spring to clean it up. The other day I was thinking about going ahead and planting wheat and letting someone graze it off this winter and then working it up and planting it to sesame. I have never done this before and I was just curious if any of you have done this? If you have and dont mind me asking how did this work out for you guys? How much an acre did you charge? I had also heard that another way of doing it is to make a deal for so many cents per pound of gain.

Thank you,
