Southern Missouri | Been hot and mostly dry for three weeks now down here,had a nice 8 tenths week ago Wednesday and were just starting then to get hot,by the end of last weekend ( the forth) the heat had spit that 8 tenths out, irrigated all week this week and had our hopes on a better than 60 percent chance coming tmmrw,national weather took that out this afternoon and lowered any rain chances for next several days to only a slight chance here and there but they upped the heat to even worse than we had it this week,anything not irrigated around here will look like toast by Monday and we’re in middle of pollination right now, early fields finishing up and later fields just getting ready to start,most acres are doing it right now,this has to be getting some attention at the market for the up coming week,understand we’re fringe area but that area is getting bigger and getting its goose cooked. | |
