The sound of an 8.3 Cummins pumping water 75 ft from my house, Ive always wondered if I might win the world title for "Closest anyone lets a diesel engine run next to their house except for running a generator in an emergency". Anybody know of one closer to a house?

With a big muffler and a 90 elbow pointed away from the house its just a low drone inside, but its noticeable. People ask me if its annoying and for the first couple days it is a bit, after that you kinda get used to it and its odd to not hear it anymore. Its been pumping there since 1978


We need a rain pretty bad, pivots running everywhere.
