Subject: How to deal with cattle getting into bad situations

Central ND
So was looking to take the day off yesterday so I fed the steers really early. We took the rest of the day as a family to spend some time with some friends on the lake. We are getting down to the end so there is one pen with 20 steers in the pen it is 150 x 200. This morning I come out and steer died because he couldn’t get up laying with his feet in the fence. Is there a way to prevent this or just crap happens. This group of calves have been especially bad for this lost another one a couple weeks ago and have flipped over three other ones that couldn’t get up.
