| From what I understand, the USDA gets a lot of their trend yield data from phone surveys and what not. They called and wanted to know what I had in the bin, how many acres I grow, what I made the most money on, etc. I told them the bins were empty, I didn’t make money on anything these days, and the crops look piss poor so far. He acted surprised, said most of his calls so far this morning everyone was very pleased with their acres and had a ton of carry over sitting in the bins.
I bet those same guys will be complaining about the USDA reports when it comes out and kicks us in the nuts.
