Subject: think mouse is fixed

East central Iowa

I have a Logitech M705 wireless mouse.  Had it for a fairly long time.
Recently one click results in 2 and some other weird actions.  I replaced the batteries and reinstalled the drivers.  Checked settings for the mouse and all to no avail.

Today I took it apart.  That meant pulling off the glide piece on the front to get at the 2 screws under it.  Taking out the batteries and removing the sticker under them to get at those 2 screws.  And then removing the on remaining screw at the back that was visible and easy to remove.

I found about a tablespoon of dust bunny around the wheel.  After careful removal of all the dust around it I took a can of compressed air and blew all the dust from the board and blew our or tried to blow out any dust that might be in the switch for the left and right buttons.

I reinstalled everything and it now appears to work just fine.
