Subject: working with the .dbf in SHP Files

Kingston, Iowa
Can I delete unnecessary columns in the .dbf for shape files? Does it expect a certain number of columns?

I created a VRT Nitrogen Rx in SMS. It had 3 columns that the names were shortened to TGT_Rate. I mistakenly selected the wrong one and didn't end up with the rates I was looking for. I'd like to edit those out of the .dbf so it doesn't happen again.

Thanks
