I have the outback s3 and really love it my accuracy was better than expected as planted soybeans last spring with it and could not hardly see my squeeze rows, must be a fluke thingBut anyway got a call from outback wanting to know if would like to upgrade to edrive for this year and if order by tomorrow will take $1500 off price. sounds like pretty good deal right? Was talking to rep at farm show and said should be coming out with a different steering valve, NOT bang bang but other, here shortly. well I got thinking, SCARY, that probably trying to clear inventory before came out with new and better right. So for people who have these systems on tracked machines, CAT 55, do you like them or should i wait till better valve comes along?

When did he say new valve would be out? Last week, was at a show and asking difference in S3 and STS. Said STS would not do baseline or autosteer with new valve. When asked when valve was coming, wouldn't give answer - acted like it would be a while.

FWIW, running 3 E-drives and happy with them - no experience with tracks.

I had this setup on A Cat 35 last year. Worked ok most of the time sometimes would knee jerk you into the side glass. Would not happen all the time maybe once or twice a day. I am not sure about this valve issue. I would call outback and see what they say.
