western mn | Years ago dad always had a hand held tool that you could put the screwdriver bit into the end, and WHAM hit the top end while you held it in place over the stubborn screw, and usually after a few whaps it would either come loose, or strip really good... Now I haven't seen that tool in 15 years, and I don't even know the correct name to call it, Impact Screwdriver maybe, but I went to Runnings last year and asked if they had them but only one old guy, close to my age remembered them, but hadn't seen one in eons... Just wondering if anyone who has one could give me a name brand to look up, or maybe where to buy one.. We bought new boat seats for our 20 year old boat and the screws on the bottom are understandably not budging, might have to grind off the heads, but that tool popped into my head so I thought I'd ask NAT nation for info, a good old tool from yesteryear question.. thanks Dan | |
