Galahad, Alberta | Was seeding and tractor died. Display said engine controller. Manual says check fuses 11 and 22. 11 was good, 22, a 10 amp was blown. replace it, go another 20 minutes and tractor dies. fuse blown again. Replace, blows fuse just turning key on. Case tech says fuse 11 is for electric lift pump, disconnect it and see what happens. I do so, replace fuse, tractor runs. Ok, send nephew for nearest pump, 3 hours away. Continue seeding, tractor dies again. Grrr. Not lift pump, nephew wasted 7 hours and got a speeding ticket. Grrr. Tech comes out to field to test wiring harnesses. After two hours of tracing wires and cleaning connectors, he's of the mind that the either the ECU acts up when it gets hot, or we have a bad ground. Tractor then started and ran the rest of the day, started fine the next morning and ran till we got rained out. Any thoughts? All I can do it clean grounds. New ECU is CA$2400.
