Western illinois | My 7240 shows no voltage after startup until I rev up the engine to 15-1600. I took the alternator to a reputable shop. They replaced the brushes and voltage regulator. It still does the same thing, but charges normally now and holds a charge with lights on and lower rpm. The batteries have some age on them, but are clean and it starts well. I’ve been through the cab solenoid thing before. I really don’t think that’s it this time, since the volt meter is the only minor issue. Fan, AC, radio, monitors, etc work fine. Any ideas? | |
