Subject: Table saw switch?

South Central South Dakota
I have a new to me Steel City table saw that I just brought home last week. Got the outlet wired up, ran the saw 3 or 4 times over a couple days, now the saw won't start at all. Nothing happens. I have 240 power to the switch, but no power to the motor with the start button pushed or not pushed. So I'm guessing its the switch. My question is, the old one has the 4 quick connect tabs on the back for the wires to slip onto. Looking at most all replacement switches, they have the wires screwed to the switch, I'm wondering if I should eliminate the quick connect and directly wire it the switch? I have a message in to see about a replacement switch for it, but maybe I want to get rid of that style anyway. It was my neighbors saw and I have been using it at his place for a couple years, so I know that it has been working. Any help appreciated! Thanks
