| Looks like some guys are starting to have a lot of ideas with a common theme. I think one of the main ways of reforming the cattle industry is going to come down to if we are able to accurately paint a picture of how the packers have created a choke point that is detrimental to the free flow of products to the consumer.
As I’m feeding cows I was wondering if separating a kill floor from the actual processing plant would do anything to reduce the ways that the packers can limit competition through excessive regulation? How do they use it currently to make it cost prohibitive to start up a new plant? | |
