Subject: Oats on corn stalks

Walnut Grove MN USA
I have a couple fields that need some dirt work done later this summer that was corn last year. Would be nice to put an early harvested crop on that ground the work done before fall. I know spring wheat on corn stalks would be somewhat risky but thought oats might be an option. Oats would be harvested for cover seed and not a for sale type of thing and only maybe 10 acres at most. Is oats going to do ok after corn or will disease be a big issue like wheat?
