G'day! Earlier posts on the problems with Apple ID, and "invalid" passwords on an I phone 5s. One of the answers here on NAT took me to Icloud, and "Just answer", who wanted $5 [refundable ?? so they stated!] for an answer that got me absolutely nowhere. A day or so later, my Mastercard has the $5 deduction for Just Answer. OK - put that down to experience! Day or so later, an email from the "Just Answer" crowd. My Subscription will rollover in three days time - at a cost of $66. I think not! Asked my bank if I could put a ban on payments to that organisation. They said the easiest would be to cancel my card, and issue a new one. Bit of a pain! Anyway there was an email contact on the "Subscription" advice. Emailed them and said please respond, informing me that I am removed from their "Membership". [Not expecting anything - and with two days spare to cancel my card as the bank suggested] Email this morning - "Sorry to see you go - but your Membership has been cancelled." Guess that is a lesson learned - be careful what you get into when trying to find advice! P.S. Still cannot sign in to Apple ID on that old I phone! |
