Subject: Steam flaking

Southern Indiana
I was just wondering what all is involved in steam flaking grain as far as the process. I figure the roller mill steams and rolls it and then you would have to cool it in order to store it, but what do they use to steam and cool it. Is it something you could do on the farm, I know it’s good feed, just wondered what the cost would be to do it yourself and wondered if you could do like custom steam flaking for cattle finishers on top of for your own use. Just something to think about, would it be worth the trouble? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!
