| We bought a used Roll Belt 450 silage special with the overshot feed with about 3000 bales on it this spring and are not having good luck with it. Our issue is that hay will build up in the driverside of the bale chamber between the chamber wall, the belt and the follower roll. This happens typically when the bale is about 40inches in diameter give or take. This slips the PTO clutch. We have adjusted the scraper on the follower roll and swapped the driverside belt with the belt next to it. Swapping belts helped for about 20 bales then we got into wetter hay and same problem occured. This is in haylage. We will be putting a new friction disk in the clutch tomorrow. Anyone experienced this issue or offer a solution. Thanks. Posted on machinery talk as well
