Subject: Hydraulic lift on a NH 256 rake?

SW “Ohia”
Hello All,

I’ve got a little 256 dolly rake I use in a lot of weird shaped/rolling fields. Often I have to cross ditches or old deadfurrows between patches that are really hard on rake teeth. Getting on and off to crank it up gets old.

Anybody have any pictures of a 256 with a hydraulic lift? New Holland built these but I’ve never seen one in person, or even any pictures of one. Just the parts diagram, and those parts would cost more than the rake is worth. They use cables instead of rods for the lift, and have a weldment that rotates on the front cross bar. Won’t be too hard to build.

Thanks!
