Subject: Corn is Expensive, Now what?

southern middle tennessee
we purchase and grow a majority of our feed in the fall to feed throughout the year. This year we fed more cattle and are running out of corn a little earlier than usual. We feed a semi hot ration that is 90% rolled corn most of the time. What are some of your other feed options to help offset the higher prices of corn. We prefer not to buy commercial feed because it just doesn't gain like our mixed feeds do. and it seems gluten isn't any cheaper than corn these days. we have messed around with the idea of adding soy hulls or cotton seed just not sure the direction to go in and not lose out on our feed/gain ratio. don't think I'm complaining about the price of corn, id love to see it get to 6-7 dollars and not feed a single steer this winter LOL
