SC Kansas | Planting for a neighbor, he treats his own seed. JD 1760 with contact wheel meter drive. Problem started as seed a little sticky and sticking in seed disks. So lots of talc ,I think that problem is solved. Running vacuum at 12 pounds. Seed size varies greatly , just a guess ,2500 to 3500 seeds per pound size. I’ve tried changing vacuum, adding graphite, driving slow ,driving fast ,makes no difference. The meters vary as much as 70000 population difference across the planter . Have checked offending meters, no problems, brushed seed tubes ,no difference . HELP | |
