North West TN
First crop ever! Sorry to hear some of you have had a rough year. This is in NW Tennessee, and I've had a great start this year thanks to my Dad's help! Anyways, Got some 6640 that should start shooting a tassel in the next two weeks, and its getting time to think about fungicide. Co-op wants 30 an acre to spray fungicide with a plane, seems a little steep to me. I'll gladly pay it though if those of you with experience with 6640 think it needs it, as I feel this crop will push 200+.

If your curious, it was planted April 6th, got 2-3 inches of a COLD rain on it, and took about 18 days to emerge. I put down 165 lbs of P, 90 of K, and 60 N preplant, and toppdressed it about three weeks ago with 160 N, and 21 lbs of S. No micro nutrients, as no one around here thinks they pay (even sulfur was iffy from everyone I talked to). The first three pics are from todat, the last one about 5 days ago.
