Subject: 1250 oil cooler problem?

NC Kansas
Running a new to us 1250 16 row. 22gpm pto pump. Ran fine until oil heated up, noticed cooler fan wasn’t running. Found popped fuse, replaced, popped again. Let tractor sit 10-15 minutes and it cools down and runs normal but the. Starts acting up, symptoms are low vacuum and low/erratic population due to vac and I assume erratic meter drive (hyd drive planter)

Am I missing something? Read about temp switch failing so guys hard wire around it so fan runs all the time. I unplugged the switch/sensor and tried to jumper it in the field but fan still wouldn’t turn.

My math tells me I have a faulty fan motor that’s drawing too many amps and popping fuses. Anywhere else to try? We are new to a vac style planter (previously had a cyclo), so assume I know nothing.
