Subject: Pickett post driver

Nebraska, The land of corn and cattle

Picked up a Pickett post driver off Big Iron, got a good deal on it as it was almost brand new. So now we need to hook it up to our compressor, going to be using a couple of old 100lb propane tanks for surge tanks.

My question is whats everyone using for quick connect fittings? In the instructions it suggests claw type, theres a quick connector that came with it but it sounded like the guy who bought it couldn't get it to work right and I wonder if that's the issue. Sounds like he was trying to drive some kind of square posts for a vineyard.

We have the big quick connect on our compressor and 1/2" hose already, but maybe itd be better to rig up a dedicated hose just for this thing, the problem is that I wanted to keep all the connections the same so we don't always have to have the surge tanks along if were only pounding a couple of T posts.

Also wheres a good place to get a decent 1/2" hose? Im wanting about 100' of it.
