| I'm stuck. This rally in the corn market has been nice, but I am unable to participate.
I planted my first corn Monday and was able to get 15% of my total planned acres in the ground. It has had over 2" rain on it since then, hope it comes up. The forecast is wet. Who knows when or if the next acre of corn gets planted here.
The problem is and where the paralysis comes in is, I have already contracted 25%. I definitely can't contract any more until I get more corn in and up out of the ground. I also have about 20% of old crop left in the bin. There again, I can't sell it now because I may need those bushels to fill my new crop contracts.
So as I said, I'm stuck. Corn rallies but I am unable to sell. Anybody else in the same boat? | |
