Northern Illinois | I believe USDA had 2019 corn production at 92.8 planted, 85.4 harvested, 176.0 yield = 15030 production.
We now sit with under 50% planted.
Areas talking PP.
Here the saying is a bushel a day after the 10th of May (meaning a yield reduction of 1 bushel for everyday after May 10 it gets planted)
Some areas drown out.
So for kicks and giggles. Between PP and drown out areas our harvested acres drops to 80. I don't think that is out of the question.
Our yield drops to 171. Half the acres will drop 10 bushels so the national average drops 5 bushels. Seems reasonable.
80.0 x 171 = 13,680. Just a WAG
As of today I think I would take the under.
