Fremont, NE | Have a 1250 red planter with the factory hydraulic starter fertilizer pump and having spiking pressure issues even running water through the system. This started last year half way through the season and pressure would just spike though the roof going thru the field. Never could figure out the problem. 2010 year model so figured the flow meter might be at fault so replaced that this spring and still doing it. Under Work Condition doing a flow calibration, showing running 5gpa at 5mph the system will pressure up to 55 psi with water. Offices are correct size for gallonage, especially with water only. Could the hydraulic block that controls flow to the hydraulic orbital motor be faulty? Just at the end of my string trying to figure this out. Ideas???
