Subject: Setting up drip tape?

King City, Mo
So last year we hauled water to some plants and this year we are looking at putting in more hydrants so we can hook up to the rural water to irrigate the strawberries we will plant this spring.

To fill a 300 gallon take it takes 40mins or more to fill depending on the time of day from the rural water. At late at night it fills faster I noticed last year.

Drip tape is 5/8”

23 Runs and are 220’ down hill. Maybe 5’ of fall every 100’ or so.

Hydrant to drip adapters don’t come up when searching.

.24gpm drip

2” water line ran from the meter all the way near the house.

Also any online calculator to figure out how big of a supply hose I should run?

I can run in sections or could put a second hydrant in Along the road as that’s where waterline runs.

Wanting to plant 5000 strawberry plants. Combo of some day neutrals and June bearers.

Will be laying white plastic with the drip under it.
Right along our driveway so I can monitor it better and hope to have success as I haven’t had the success id like with strawberries.

The fundraisers for groups with the popped gourmet popcorn has gone over well as we just had another group turn in a 100+ bag order for Deivery Saturday and this week another group is to turn in for next Tuesday. So the boys have income to float this project.

If we plant the 5000 plants and 50% make it, 2500 plants produce 1qt of berries at $3-8. So return is there if we can grow it.
