western iowa,by Denison | Talking to a guy yesterday and said he put up a hoop tarp barn-it is 7 years old, he noticed a tarp with rust spots on the top-got to looking underneath it and the pipe was rusted through. As the tarp moved it started to tear also-then the water that was condensate went all the way down to the bottom brackets and froze as there was no where for the water to go-showed me pictures of every bracket that was broke from the swelling of the water. the structure is 40x300 and he normally runs 300 cattle or 1 per 40 square feet. The company used powder coating paint but it looks like the paint started coming off and with some of the pipe open on top and no openings on the bottom every bracket was broke. The company offered to replace the pipes-pro rate the tarp but no help on the labor. He has no help with the labor and is at his wit ends on what to do, He does not want to put this company's building back up and have the same problems-
We have noticed any thing steel does speed up the corrosion on any building parts | |
