West Middletown | Have a farm at a little higher elevation and that drains in my direction.
There is on 1/2 mile long open drainage ditch very near the boundary and only my neighbors farm drains into ditch. Ditch is on my high side, so absolutely no run-off from my fields goes there.
Think of it a line of defense intercepting run-off before it hits my farm and taking it to the road.
Given a choice, who would want control and ownership of ditch and the maintenance, responsibility, etc. that goes along with it?
Or would you rather let the one sending all their drainage into it assume the responsibility for it?
