The desert of south central neb | Mine doesn’t have they hay shelf and I’ve been mixing some prairie hay not very long stemmed stuff pry 2-3 inches with some silage and alfalfa and when it’s mixing it’s making some groaning once in a while while mixing sounds like it’s coming from the lower right side. maybe like the prairie hay is binding in there a little would that hay shelf benefit being in there just really don’t want to bend a auger that bad.
