Subject: Check my math, calibrating granular fert distributor

Georgia
So we are going to apply gran fert to a small bit of corn. The chart says to select output desired, ground speed, and time to drive 500ft. The formula is

Output = desired amount/acre x row width x # rows
———————————-
1045

(Theoretical numbers). I want to apply 300lbs, 36in rows, 2 rows/box

So output = 300 x 36 x 2 / 1045

Output = 20.66lbs

So for the time I recorded to drive 500 ft, I should be collecting 20.66lbs ??

Also, it shouldn’t matter if I’m feeding one side of the row or each side of the row, output is output correct?

Thanks!
