Subject: Mold on lip of fuel tank

Noticed yesterday mold on lip of fuel tank. tractor mostly lives in heated shop. "Assuming" came from harvest while hooked to grain cart - mold in dust from soybeans that was inundated with rain at harvest and made the fuel tank lip a petree dish. I am assuming if I parked it outside over night at zero deg temps would take care of it, or could it be a bigger issue down in the tank? Any preventive measures recommended to make sure this does not result in a bigger problem?
