north-central Indiana west of Fulton | Because of the post below on Sears sold houses, I will add the tractors they sold.....if you have not seen my previous threads on the subject ,since it seems somewhat timely. Three farm tractor lines were sold starting in about 1930. The Bradley was sold in late 1930 and 31.....but only about 300 were produced. Later ,the Graham Bradley was sold ,with them being manufactured from 1937 until 39. The numbers of those came to around 2300. About the same time, a bare bones tractor was also offered in 1938 and 39, fittingly called the Sears Economy......500 approximately of those were made. There were also conversion kits sold that would convert a car of the time into a tractor ,of sorts....called the Thrifty Farmer .
The Graham Bradley and Sears sold farm equipment club meets once a year at a selected show in the summer. We have a few Graham Bradleys , a couple Bradleys and my son is doing the final painting on a Sears Economy as I post this.
