Subject: Cotton Fertilizer Placement Banded 2X2

Cedar Bluff, AL
I want to start banding my cotton fertilizer 2X2 beside the row. I want to band as much fertilizer as I can. And then broadcast/side dress the remainder of my fertilizer. My broadcast perscription from last year 2018 was 91Nit 69Phos 82 Pot 11 22 Kmag. What I was wanting to try for this year. Is 100LBS/acre of DAP and 100LBS/Acre of MOP which should give me 18N 46Phos 60Pot/acre banded at 2X2 beside the row. My question is, is 200LBS of this material 2X2 beside the row to much fertilizer. Or would it cause me problems with burning my seeds or hurting the seeds germination. Or what would be the maximum acceptable amout of materia/fertilizerl that I could put out. And still be safe and not cause a problem. Everybody around my part of the world broadcast all their fertilizer on all crops. Any feedback/help will be most appreciated. TIA
