NE Iowa | Coup's sugar post prompted me to thumb through Beck's PFR book this morning. I have never bought Beck's but do appreciate their research. They try a lot of "additives" and with small amounts of replications not sure of the statistical significance so they seem to get some large variations from year to year. But still some good information can be found there. These 3 things stood out at me in their 2018 research:
#1) Using Y-drops actually resulted in lower yield vs. traditional sidedress in corn
#2) 15" rows outyield 30" rows by almost 10 bu/acre regardless of population in soybeans
#3) Rolling soybeans cost yield no matter if done before or after emergence
