Subject: Going notill on corn stocks with a 1770..what tips do you have

Central iowa
Just got told this morning that one of the landlords wants to do no till on corn stocks..fine no big deal but have an 03 1770 16 row with regular yetter trash wippers, factory parallel springs( small ones on sides).. Planing on sliding drawbar over, planting down middle of row, and adding 2 more springs per row.. Any better ideas without breaking the bank? We no till into bean stubble for corn and plant 2 in from old row and works fine.. Just tryn to get a game plan.. Thanks.. Fyi I'm in central iowa. Flatlander and heavy black dirt. Its a custom job that we have done for years and don't want to loose it
