Subject: Biggest On-Farm Changes for the New Year

SE South Dakota
What is the biggest change you plan to make to your cropping plan for 2019? Have you learned anything you wish you would have known before you put seed in the ground last year?

Our biggest changes:

Switching to regional seed companies ($ savings)
Applying fungicide on more soybean acres
Planting later season corn and earlier maturity beans

What we learned in 2018:
Our fungicide apps on beans only makes us money 2 out of 5 years. But when it pays, it more than pays for the other 3 years.
