Subject: Cold Weather Farming

Ottawa, Ontario
With corn harvest dragging on into cold season there are many things that will simply freeze up.

My best purchase this year is this little torpedo heater. It will run for nearly 10 hours on a 20 pounder.

I’ve been thawing out my corn head every night. I had to warm up my dryer computer to get it to run. I even had to thaw out the slide on the bottom of my wet hopper bin. I even set it into the back of the combine to thaw out an inch of frozen slushy dust on the grain pan.

My other favourite cold weather purchase was some one piece “onsey” long john. But I’m not including a picture of them !! I’m wearing them
