NC ND | Have a 5 stage hoist on a 22' box. When lowering it gets to the bottom (largest) stage and sometimes catches. Move the truck so it gets a little flex and drops no problem. Cold weather may make it worse, likely because the oil adds to the resistance.
First time someone else used it and the box wouldn't come down in the elevator today, 16 degrees. Got it out the door a few feet and it dropprd the last stage. Do all of them do this or is there anything common to look for? Top stage drops fast, slows down as the stages get bigger. When it goes down you hear a bit of a bang, always thought it was the tube centering a bit as it goes over the last stage
