Northern Illinois | Is there a source to look at multiple obituary listings at a time? Like many here my parents live in a rural area and have many friends in multiple directions from their home. Here individual funeral homes or newspapers list their obituaries. My parents have many friends who are getting older and would hate to miss someone's passing but they are not close enough to many of these people so that they would get a personal phone call from the family to alert them. As I said they have friends in multiple directions so it would be impractical to check each town's newspaper often enough nor would it be practical to search each funeral home's website. If there was one central location where a person could check the obituaries within a mile range of a town that might be practical but I have not heard of such a thing. | |
