Subject: Some NGMO beans might be a good alternative to regular market

Frytown, Iowa
Depending on the availability of the market putting some beans that you have bin space for may be a good plan for this next year with better pre chems now than just a few years ago. Anthem maxx, fierce XLT, or zidua Pro can keep a field clean enough to not effect yield while following up with generic flexstar and outlook, and a separate pass of clethodium later...

Might be an answer to a tough business decision of growing more corn or just trying to break even on half your ac. Instead let the premium be your guaranteed trumpaid for next year. Trying to get under the market with inputs for Soy19 can be difficult without shorting your fertilizer or true machinery opportunity costs.

In my area 19 basis is 75-90 cents. If premiums are $1 over board at a 57 bu yield that’s $100/ac minimum and you would need to grow 12 more bu/ac to make the same money. 70 bu beans is not unheard of nor impossible but your betting on the unknown where the premium of NGMO is known.

Just some thoughts to roll around as you are throwing up after doing cash flows for 19’
