Subject: skid steer/compact track loader rated lift capacity

Southwest ND
Skid steers on tires have a rated lift of 50% of tipping weight. Track loaders use 35% of tipping weight for the rated lift. Why? I have a #2600 rated skid steer on tires and want to go to tracks. For something comparable on tracks do I take the tipping weight times 50% or stick with the 35%? Do track loaders not handle weight as well and that's why they are only safe at 35% of tipping weight vs. 50%? TIA
