Frytown, Iowa | Seems my thoughts are always elsewhere than the place I’m at. Almost like I’m trying to escape my reality but my reality isn’t THAT bad! If I’m not making 5 yr plans I’m making next year plans or 20 yr plans or just dreaming about being somewhere else.
Only place I can “just be” is in the morning with my coffee and lazy boy with kids running around excited for the day... I really enjoy that time. Also when I’m on dates with my wife. I guess those are the times I’m really content, doing what I really want to do.
I would guess the other times Im dealing with lack of contentment. Hate to wind up 35 years from now never living it. Always mentally somewhere else. Social media really steals my thoughts. I compare it to a cancer in my life.
Gotta get back to my family! They are going bonkers tonight!
