ADM charges 1% of the cash price for every half point of moisture over 15. So if I have $4.00 corn that is 18.5% moisture, they will dock me 28 cents. There is 4.12% shrink in 18.5% corn. So I'm selling them enough water to cut the dock in half. So basically it's costing me .14 cents/bu. I can't haul it home, bin it, put air to it, and haul it back out for 14 cents
